Understanding Mold Toxicity

Mold Toxicity Treatment

Natural Treatment for Mold Toxicity

Fatty-toxins are fat soluble toxins, or lipophilic, which means they’re attracted to fat and not attracted to water.

Lifestyle Healing Institute® puts enormous emphasis on the removal of toxins, specifically fatty-toxins.

On the contrary, water soluble toxins are attracted to water, and thus easily dissolve in water which allows them to be flushed out in urine. Water soluble toxins aren’t as much of a concern when it comes to accumulated toxicity, therefore, when we refer to toxicity, we target fatty toxins, as they’re more difficult to eliminate with the natural mechanisms that our bodies have in place.

Because their elimination is difficult, the results are the accumulation of fatty toxins throughout the brain and body, resulting in various forms of toxicity, including Mold Toxicity. How did these toxins gain entry into the body, and more importantly, how can individuals harness their natural ability to eradicate them?

Our All-Natural Treatment for Mold Toxicity protocol focuses on the elimination of toxins, as well as exposes the source of the toxicity, and most importantly can alleviate neurological symptoms caused by most toxins quickly, safely and without prescription medications.

mold1We focus on mycotoxins because we’re concerned with any fatty toxin, including pesticides, benzene (smoke), toluene (paints), mandelic acid, and numerous others; however, exposure to toxins isn’t nearly as dangerous exposure to mycotoxins (Mold Toxicity).

The National Institute of Health estimates that 30-50% of homes have poor air quality due to mycotoxin infestation – which ultimately leads to the development of Mold Toxicity. Moreover, recent studies show individuals spend up to 90% of their time indoors; thus exposed to mycotoxins – the fatty toxins produced by mold species resulting in Mold Toxicity.

In the World Health Organization bulletin in 1999, it states that mycotoxins are much more dangerous when inhaled versus ingested. Many think they’re safe because they don’t eat mold; which is a huge misconception of Mold Toxicity. Both are damaging; however, potency, prevalence, and duration are much higher in airborne mycotoxins.

Why are Toxins so Deadly?

The human brain is approximately 60% fat and the myelin sheath, the sheath responsible for transmission and speed of communication, is approximately 80% fat. Our cell membranes, the gatekeeper who decides entry and exit within the cell, consist of a phospholipid (phosphofatty) bilayer.

The human brain is designed with numerous amounts of fatty layering and hardwiring. In normal, non-toxic conditions this doesn’t pose a threat; however, with the accumulation of fatty toxins through the positive genetic subset of HLA-DRB-DBQ genetics (we test with our method and protocol), Mold Toxicity is almost inevitable. Toxins are attracted to the brain, the myelin sheath, and the cell membranes and will continue to wreak havoc until the source is identified, the toxins are removed, and the damages to the brain and body are healed. Our All-inclusive 4-week program removes toxins as we replenish the body’s biochemical deficiencies.

Toxins are drawn to fat which makes brain shields, brain cells (neurons), and defense gatekeepers (cell membranes) easy targets for fatty toxins. Mycotoxins are so small that the majority of toxins bypass bodily defense systems – in other words, it’s extremely difficult to recognize toxins as abnormal, thus making it much more difficult to eliminate them. Because of an individual’s subset of HLA-DRB-DBQ genetics, which doesn’t allow the ability to recognize mycotoxins as being abnormal; individuals with this gene eliminate fatty toxins at an alarmingly slow rate – hundreds of times slower than people without the gene. These individuals are much more susceptible to developing Mold Toxicity.

Now, to recap:

Fatty Toxins are Drawn to Fatty Substances

  • Our Brain is 60% Fat
  • Our Myelin Sheath is 80% Fat
  • Cell Membranes have a phosphofatty bilayer
  • Mycotoxins are Too Small to be Recognized by Defenses resulting in – Accumulation – Mold Toxicity
  • Genetics Hinder Elimination of Fatty Toxins resulting in – Accumulation – Mold Toxicity

Now that we have discussed the basic mechanisms of the mycotoxin-induced brain toxicity and neurotoxicity, we need to gain a basic understanding of the pathways that toxins are using to disrupt the brain. Mycotoxins destroy the brain’s astrocytes which help support and provide maintenance to the neurons. Additionally, our brains have a blood-brain barrier (BBB) which allows and controls entry to the brain. If the cell membrane is the gatekeeper to the cell, the BBB is the gatekeeper to the brain.

mold2Astrocytes make up the majority of the BBB and are destroyed by mycotoxins which allow toxins to gain entry to the brain. Astrocytes, along with other glial cells (supporting brain cells), are designed to protect our neurons; however, once destroyed, toxins have a free shot at our neurons.

Neurons are arguably our body’s most sensitive cell, and when attacked, they don’t exhibit adaptation or morphology – they just die. Our nerve tissue is generally known as permanent cells, meaning they cannot regenerate and make new cells; thus, we focus on the protection of the brain at all costs.

In addition to astrocyte damage, mycotoxins destroy the brain’s endothelial cells which line the fluid cavity in the brain. For example, they provide a barrier for the cerebrospinal fluid which is shown to be damaged in a brain exposed to mycotoxins.

Stressors on the brain induce neural cell apoptosis (brain cell death) as well as oxidative stress in the brain. Some studies show mycotoxin infestation – Mold Toxicity – is equivalent to a minor traumatic brain injury (not surprising). Additionally, toxins can cause pituitary adenomas (tumors) in the brain.

To recap the Danger of Mold Toxicity to the brain:

  • Destroys the Astrocytes – BBB – Gate Keeper to Brain
  • Destroys Neurons
  • Destroys Brain Endothelial Cells
  • Have Caused Pituitary Adenomas (Tumors)
  • Equivalent to Minor Traumatic Brain Injury – Brain Fog, Loss of Short/Long Term Memory
  • Shown to Cause ADHD
  • Causes Neural Cell Apoptosis (Cell Death)
  • Induces Oxidative Stress – Damage to Brain

Mycotoxins don’t stop at the brain; as other bodily systems are greatly affected as well. Toxins have a high affinity for ribosomes, which are vital in functions of everyday cell activity and maintenance, including DNA replication and synthesis. Mycotoxins bind to ribosomes with high affinity, and they don’t let go until the entire cell dies. They also inhibit further DNA replication and synthesis by impeding multiple steps in processes involved in transcription and translation. Mycotoxins further affect the mitochondria, the energy factories of the cell, as well as causing DNA mutations. Regarding the cell, there aren’t many entities that are safe from mycotoxin damage. Lifestyle Healing Institute® can safely remove toxins from your brain and body with an All-Natural IV method and protocol which utilizes amino acids, vitamins and minerals, without using antibiotics or prescription medications.

With inherent deficiencies in the immune systems, combined with the destructive power of mycotoxins, fatty toxins are some of the most dangerous chemicals on the planet. Mycotoxin damages aren’t too difficult to predict and have been proven in numerous articles. Basically, wherever there are cells (everywhere) there is a risk of damage. In terms of the heart, mycotoxins can destroy the cardiomyocytes, heart cells, which, like nerve tissues, are permanent and cannot regenerate. They’ve also cause myocardial lesions (lesions of the heart). Furthermore, chondrocyte (cartilage cells) damage is apparent in those with Mold Toxicity, resulting in a high amount of joint pain. These cells are avascular which means it’s extremely difficult to bring nutrients and remove waste, thus making regeneration slow and sometimes non-existent.

mold3One of the most damaging effects in the brain and body is mycotoxins’ effect on the immune system.  Toxins have an uncanny ability to cause immune suppression leaving the body open for attack and invasion by chemicals, pathogens, bacteria, and viruses.

Multiple studies show the body is fully capable of battling bugs such as Lyme, babesia, and bartonella; however, when compromised through fatty toxin accumulation, the immune system becomes suppressed.

This allows free entry to these harmful bugs, that many view as the culprit for their health issues.

The mechanism that allows these bugs to enter your brain and body is undoubtedly fatty toxins. If you have Chronic Lyme or any other infection or co-infection; your immune system must have been compromised at some point. Because mycotoxins are the one of the most potent of the immunosupressors, you were more than likely infected with mycotoxins at some point – as stress is not potent enough to cause these types of deadly changes to your immune system. Mechanistically, mycotoxins cause changes in TNF-alpha, one of the main regulators of the immune system (same mechanistic component as immunemodulators such as Humira).

Another recap of Mold Toxicity:

  • Greatly Inhibits Ribosomes – Wherever there are DNA components
  • Inhibits DNA Synthesis and Replication
  • Affects the Heart – destroys heart cells and can cause heart lesions
  • Can Cause High Blood Pressure – Chronic Migraines, Headaches, Fibromyalgia
  • Depletes Mitochondria – Chronic Fatigue
  • Suppresses Major Immune Pathways – Allows for Pathogenic Invasion – Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia, etc.
  • Destroys Chondrocytes – Joint Pain – Sometimes Mistaken for Lyme Disease, Fibromyalgia
  • Causes Cell Death

Besides the brain and heart, other organ systems and cells are at high risk for mycotoxin damage as well. The seemingly endless list of asthma and breathing abnormalities in relation to mycotoxins has been well established since the 1980s. Mycotoxins decrease oxygen efficiency by sitting at the bottom of your lungs and within your nasal cavities as many individuals complain of inability to catch their breath, even though their Sp02 levels are normal.

In terms of the endocrine (hormone) system, mycotoxins disrupt levels of progesterone and testosterone. Progesterone is responsible for the calming effects in the brain, opposing estradiol in women, and testosterone is crucial in dopamine production and other multiple immune factors such as interleukin 6 among others (IL-6) including sexual function as well. Hormones are responsible for multiple factors in the body including numerous reactions in the brain (oh, yet another effect on the brain).

In addition, mycotoxins increase the toxic bacteria in the gut including Klesbiella and Proteus species. They also cause inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract which leads to vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps. The DON toxin, a specific mycotoxin, has been nicknamed the vomit-toxin for its extremely potent effects on the gut.

Yet another recap on Mold Toxicity:

  •   Inability to Catch Breath – with normal Sp02
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Difficulty Breathing – Asthma and Asthma like symptoms
  • Decreased Testosterone – Lower Immunity, Lower Sex Drive, Lower Dopamine
  • Decreased Progesterone – Calming Effects in the Brain – Balances Estradiol in Woman’s Brain
  • Imbalance in Intestinal Flora
  • Leaky Gut Syndrome – Can develop into Irritable Bowel Disease
  • Difficulty Digesting and Absorbing – Decreased Enzyme Activity, Decreased Intestinal pH
  • Increased Prevalence of Cramping and Diarrhea

What About Cancer?

Mycotoxins and Mold Toxicity have been shown to be carcinogenic and can cause cancer of the liver as well as testicular and prostate cancer. Some mycotoxins have been shown to cause pancreatic lesions with a proposed mechanism for pancreatic cancer.

What Parts of the Brain and Body Do We Have Left?

Not much – and we don’t want to beat a dead horse, but it’s important you understand our perspective and convictions. A water leak in the home is serious because mold doesn’t discriminate, and although more prevalent in older homes, both new and old homes are at high risk of developing mold. You must find the source of the exposure, whether at home or work and have it removed.

Our focus is the cellular neurological mechanisms of mycotoxins and in “removing them from the brain and body by healing the symptoms and damages quickly, safely and without prescription medications.”

Isn’t Mold Outside Too?

Yes, but you must consider the amount of spores per volume or per space. Outdoor mold is extremely diluted in the vast abundance of air; therefore, it shouldn’t pose a problem. However, there is a limited volume of air in today’s homes, thus allowing toxins to accumulate at a much higher concentration leading to Mold Toxicity.

Why is Mold Seemingly Everywhere?

In the late 1900s there was a strong movement towards energy efficiency and thus energy efficient homes. Home builders wanted to accomplish this feat with the most cost-effective manner possible, so they began building homes with drywall and cellulose-based planet materials.

The problem is mycotoxins utilize these materials as a food source and since mold doesn’t discriminate; it doesn’t know if it’s outside or inside – all it knows is there’s a food source for survival. A common recurring theme is nothing wants to die, and lifeforms will do whatever it takes to survive; from the smallest bacteria to the largest organisms on our planet – and mold is no exception.

They consume the materials and build their toxic family in your home. Until recently, many homes relied on pulling air from the outside for heating and air purposes; thus, exposing homes to a higher risk of water damage.

What Should I Do?
