Prescription Medication Detox

More than half of all American adults have taken a prescription medication in the past month, which is an alarming statistic. Some individuals become addicted to their medications through no fault of their own. We founded Lifestyle Healing Detox® in response to numerous patients who became addicted to medications prescribed at other “wellness” centers or by their primary physicians.

Our Painless Prescription Medication Detox program utilizes a 100% All Natural detox method which minimizes withdrawal symptoms while providing the safest detox method available.

At traditional rehabilitation centers, the underlying cause(s) of substance dependency is rarely addressed as patients are simply detoxed and sent home with all the cravings without ever addressing the probable side effects from the detox, which include anxiety, insomnia, depression and more. Lifestyle Healing Detox® provides an analysis and interpretation of numerous brain and bodily systems, then develops a unique treatment plan that addresses the true underlying cause of the addiction by optimizing Brain Chemistry, immune function, blood flow, and gut integrity. By changing an individual’s Brain chemistry, cravings and the physical addiction from the “effect” of the medication ceases, resulting in a safe and painless detox. Here are a few results from former patient’s before and after medications. You can see that most were prescribed multiple medications that were taken multiple times per day. After just a few weeks of detox treatment, most have walked off all their medications without symptoms of withdrawal. You’re not addicted to prescription medications: you’re addicted to the effects of the medications. We will detox you from the effects safely, and all naturally by truly addressing the cause(s) of your addiction. This not only minimizes withdrawal symptoms with our painless process, but it lays a foundation to keep you from relapsing. Relapse is not a part of recovery at Lifestyle Healing DetoxTM. None of the people above have relapsed as they never wanted to be on their medications in the first place.

*Length of prescription medication detox treatment is based on the type of medication(s), daily dosage(s), duration of dependency and possible combination of different medications. Medication dosages are gradually lowered, typically over a period of 4 to 6 weeks, until the dosage reaches zero.

Addiction and the Brain

“It’s about the Brain and Brain Chemistry”

Brain Chemistry is a term which describes the state of neurotransmitters in the brain and their relationship to specific brain regions and subsequent bodily systems. Two concepts of the brain play a tremendous role with addiction. An overactive brain is when the brain is exhibiting too much electrical activity resulting in too much voltage throughout the brain and body (too much excitatory neurotransmitters). Many feel as though their brain is plugged into an electrical socket causing widespread pain or tingling in their legs and arms. Some even say they feel as if their brain is on fire.

This results in “self-medication” to relieve and calm your overactive symptoms. Who can blame you for self-medicating? We change your brain chemistry by calming excitatory activity, thus giving you more control. This allows you move on from the medications without constantly thinking about your physical addiction.

On the other hand, with an underactive brain, individuals find difficulty in getting excited as activities become dull and uneventful, usually causing symptoms of depression and fatigue. Many stop taking care of themselves and fall into a seemingly endless loop of “going through the motions,” never feeling a sense of accomplishment regardless of the magnitude. Enjoyable activities become boring or sometimes, a hassle to deal with. Even the previous pleasure of receiving gifts or spending time with friends and loved ones changes dramatically.

Individuals turn to prescription medications or alcohol to “self-medicate” their problems, because these substitutes readily boost dopamine which triggers the pleasure center of the brain. You are merely attempting to balance a deficiency that’s the result of your genetics and your environment. We alleviate that deficiency and balance your brain so you don’t feel the desire and need to be on any medications.

As a side note, the reason cigarette smoking is such a commonly overlapping entity seen with addiction is nicotine releases an abundant amount of dopamine, more than heroin and cocaine per dosage actually, so it’s common to see an underactive brain region stimulated through smoking cigarettes.

Other traditional rehabilitation and detox treatment centers are failing many people because they don’t want to look for the reasons behind your addiction.

We find the underlying causes and don’t blame you and your moral character for your addiction (which is just wrong); we understand your addiction. Lifestyle Healing DetoxTM provides a way out, a way back to normalcy, a way back to family, a way back to work and a way back to LIFE. It sounds too good to be true, however our All Natural Detox method is only one part of our Detox Wellness Program. Our 100% All-Natural IV Therapy changes an individual’s brain chemistry, so withdrawal symptoms and future cravings cease to exist. This is accomplished by evaluating the brain and body as a whole unit and through the use of quantifiable biochemical testing results.

Additional entities addressed:

  • Utilize a Functional Neurology Program that activates your deficient brain
  • Four visits with an Integrative Therapist specializing in emotional and behavioral changes
  • Uniquely designed workout regimen for body strengthening
  • Blood Flow Therapy which addresses the regeneration of body tissues, therefore helping with chronic pain, inflammation and autoimmune conditions
  • Hand Selected All Natural Supplements – assists natural healing in the brain and body

You may wonder, do I need recurring detox treatments?

Our Detox method does not require recurring treatments, as individuals are treated in a one-time interval, and through education and counseling. We address the underlying physical/physiological reasons behind the addiction so patients are able to detox without pain or withdrawal symptoms.

The effect of pharmaceutical medications, whether to activate an underactive brain, or to calm an overactive brain, is the reason why addiction is so prevalent in today’s society. Numerous individuals who suffer from insomnia, depression, and anxiety are using alcohol and prescription medications to merely “calm” their overactive, overstimulated and overanxious brain.

Additionally, new research shows many of the most common medications prescribed in America, are actually contributing to autoimmunity (attacking oneself). Many precription medications used today are only designed for short term use (benzodiazipines – Klonopin, Ativan, Xanax, etc. and opiates – Oxycontin, Vicodin, Percocet, etc.), yet they are the most prescribed medications of addicted individuals that come for treatment at our center.

Our Outpatient Detox Wellness Program is more than a Detox program, as the wellness segment has proven to be as – or even more important than the detox itself. Lifestyle Healing DetoxTM analyzes testing data to determine the cause of the substance abuse, so after patients are detoxed, there are minimal side effects after treatment. This complex biochemical analysis of extensive testing results is evaluated prior to arrival at our facility. Our Detox and All Natural Wellness IV Therapy has proven to be safe and effective while being administered together, insuring that the brain and body will heal simultaneously.

We also tailor a supplement regimen and a workout plan specifically designed to retrain the brain and body to focus on relieving stress in joints while strengthening structural integrity. Precise functional neurological brain exercises activate deficient brain regions and coupled with our IV therapy help facilitate brain training, blood flow, neurotransmitter balancing, and much more. Lifestyle Healing DetoxTM protocols are usually 4-week Outpatient programs that require a daily 2 hour visit at our clinic for scheduled all natural IV therapy that minimizes withdrawal symptoms as it stops the inherent cravings. This is accomplished in a few weeks without being “locked up” for 30 days like other detox centers.
